My wife got a Motorola Bluetooth device for handsfree answering on her cell
phone and she loves it. She works at home and the same convenience for the
house phone would be exceptional.

Can these bluetooth devices be set to answer a 2nd phone also. In this
case, the house phone. Is there a device one can install on the wired house
phone to allow the bluetooth device to answere it as well as her cell phone?

Any insights appreciated

Look at the Bluetooth Headset's manual. It will clearly state if it can
be paired with more than one device. I have seen add-on devices to give
Bluetooth capabilities to cell phones that don't have it built in. I've
seen USB to Bluetooth adapters for computers. But I haven't seen such
for land line telephones. You might check Cellular Emporium or similar
online stores and ask their customer service reps if such an adapter exists.

As has been stated on this forum many times, you need to buy the
Plantronics Voyager 510S, it comes with a headset that allows
simltaneous connections from two phones, also in the box is an adapter
for your home phone.

none of the ads suggest a device that comes with it to hook up a wired
phone?

Yep it does, there are variants of the 510, the 510, 510USB, 510S and
510SL, see them at:

The one you want is the 510SL.
