I'm curious if someone can explain how a computer offers services to a
phone.

I'm trying to get Vista to offer a serial port to my phone (Treo
700w), and i can't get it to work. I figured that establishing a
partnership, then an incoming port on the PC, and an incoming port on
the phone, I could create outgoing connections on both. This doesn't
work.

Any ideas?
