I've been looking around and I'm having a hard time trying to decide
which headset is better... I like the size of the 60, but the "new"
35 has better stand-by times.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I've owned and used both HBH-10 (long boom stick design) and HBH-60. In
my experience, the smaller and lighter the better. And HBH-60 certainly
doesn't let you down in terms of quality and usability. That's my
recommendation. |

I purchased both the HBH-35 and the HBH-60 to use with my Nokia 3650. I
preferred the 35 due to following:
1. The HBH-35's boom mike's noise reduction technology provides cleaner
audio to other party. Better than the handset itself. Most can't tell I'm
on my mobile.
2. Both provide voice command functionality. The 35 is more reliable in
understanding my command on the first try. The 60 had problems with
recognition outside of a noise-free environment.
3. The battery power on the 35 is more than double than the 60. You really
need this with the "handsfree profile". Its transmission of every click
drains the battery quickly.
4. The 60 dropped its connection on occassion (and ending) during calls.
The 35 has never dropped the connection during a call.
5. Both headsets disconnect after a period of inactivity (i.e. stand-by
mode). The 35 re-establishes the connection after pressing the answer
button within 3 to 6 seconds. The 60 required between 10 and 20 seconds to
reconnect. The max delay on the 3650 for voice mail is 25 seconds.
Typically, not enough time to catch the call.
6. Ear clip on the 35 is more durable with greater rubber padding, providing
better comfort and affording more protection from damage.
Yes, the length of the 35 (the same dimension as the 30) is greater due to
the thin boom mike. This didn't bother me at all, especially since it
provided superior audio and it feels more natural when talking.
In my trial of the two, the HBH-35 was the clear winner. The 3650 has
difficulties pairing with most bluetooth devices, but it seems to like the
HBH-35.
Hope this helps. Good luck!

I've had all three!
The HBH-20 was originally sent back since I didn't appreciate how the quoted
10M range is not supposed to be taken seriously. A few months ago I
purchased the HBH-60 since it was new and fixed, but although the unit is
good it has two major draw backs. Firstly the battery life, the talk time
seems to be much shorter than quoted, and it will turn off in mid
conversation without so much as a blip to tell you. Secondly, and most
disappointing the in ability to use it in most cars. As soon as you go
faster than 20 MPH the other party cannot hear you, although you can hear
them fine. I have a BMW 330 and it's not very loud at that speed - but it
appears that the noise reduction on the mic is too aggressive. To counter
this I thought I'd go back to the HBH-20 since at least it worked in the car
(and are selling cheap at £40) but found out that the HBH-35 was out, with
improved talk time and standby (HBH-20 + 1hr). I've now got the hbh-35 and
it seems to be fine, although I notice that the HBH-60 is the only bluetooth
headset that seems to pair and work fine with my IPAQ (both 3870 and 5450).
Personally, I say save your money and get a cheap hbh-20.
PS - I've also got the parrot car kit which is another story altogether!

Interesting experience. Are you suggesting that my VW cabin is quieter
than your BMW? I have had nothing similar to speak of. As for battery
life, well, I only switch it on when I am in the car or other times
when I may need to use it. Only had to recharge once a week or so.
