Would anybody care to shed any light on which of the two phones is best at
Bluetooth links to a Palm PDA and which is the most reliable - my own
experience with Ericsson T28's suggest that reliablity may not be their
strong suit.

Thanks for any advice.

I didn't have too much trouble with my M515 and T68m- sometimes I had to
reset the phone if it acted a little weird, but it worked pretty well
with sending SMSs, using it as a modem to connect to the net, etc. It was
old firmware- the new ones could be better. Thing is, the T68m was a lousy
phone! Terrible RF. I have a Siemens S56 now.

i cannot compare the two as i have never used the ericsson, but in case it
helps
i regularly use a Clie ( Palm OS4.1) with the Sony "BT Stick" and a 6310i
for
GPRS connectivity, and it works very reliably. No complaints at all ......

I can't comment on Nokia's models but I have used a Tungsten T with both the
Ericsson T39 and the T68i. The Tungsten T works well with either Ericsson
phones. I've noticed that the T39 performs better than the T68 as far as the
radio is concerned. The T68 interfaces better than the T39 as far as
Bluetooth connectivity is concerned. The following example proves my point.
I can select a contact from the Palm using the address book and wirelessly
instruct the T68 to dial the number. The T68 will dial the number and
attempt to connect. If I also have Bluetooth headsets active, the T68 will
automatically transfer the call to the headset upon connecting. It is
intelligent enough to distinguish the Palm (and its role in this process)
and the headset. The T39 will erroneously attempt to transfer the call to
the Palm instead of the headset. The call is in never-never land at this
point.

I found Ericsson phones over all to be fairly reliable. I've had a T28 as
well and noticed no issues. I tend to wear the phones out by breaking the
flip or the keypad numbers before the phone tends to die thus buying the
newest model available.

Hi

I use both 6310i and T68i with Bluetooth to a Tungsten T with the www.maxTEXT.net
SMS-Agent and the only difference is
that the Nokia can stay in continous discoverable
mode for registering - while the Ericsson stays 3 minutes after activation.

This is not important at all - as once discovered / registered on PDA and phone
they both stay in very stable nice and dandy in aspects of Bluetooth functionally.

OT: What I personally dislike is that the Nokia seams to collect all available dust
from the air under its display Sad the previous 6210 never did this.

Erwin

The only difference
