I had 2 years of service with Sprint, so I was "rewarded" with a Sanyo
SCP3100. I turned in my old phone (big mistake). The new phone lasted 6
months- the keypad contacts got corroded. So Sprint "gives" me a phone that
only lasts 6 months, yet I am bound to a contract.
OK - enough of my ranting. Where can I get a reasonably priced replacement
cell phone (nothing fancy) that works with Sprint?
Thanks -
Gary

I took it to the Sprint store. They told me that the warranty had expired.
Do I need to send it to Sanyo? Is Sprint lying?

I'd recommend the Sanyo RL4920. Another poster on this NG referred me
to the 4920, and I am VERY well pleased with it. Of course, it is an
older phone, so you'll have to buy a used one most likely. But, there
are lots of them on Ebay, and the going price is around $25.
Now, there are several things you should know: this is a "candy-bar"
style phone, not a flip; no camera, no mp3 player, but it will do web
browsing if that is a need; and, it has a lot of the same features as
the 3100 (wifey has one of those)--extending antenna, voice-actuated
calling, big address book, speed dials, etc. |

Doesn't a Sprint phone come with a 1 year warranty?
