I recently purchased a HBH-35 headset and am pairing it with my T610.
I notice a crackling noise the headset whenever it is connected to my
phone. Also, the party i am talking to states that the sound comes
through a little muffled, it is much clearer without the headset.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi,

Try to get your T610 reflashed.

I have tried R1L013 (I work at Ericsson in Sweden), and the problem
is fixed in that one, and it will also be fixed in later official versions.

I'm don't know when the new firmware, that inclues the improved headset
audio
will be released.

Regards

Carl-Magnus
