Sprint's Service During NIU Shooting

I like in the DeKalb, IL area where they had a shooting at NIU yesterday
afternoon.

I wanted to say that I think Sprint's service was better than expected.
I talked to a Sprint engineer about a month ago who said the NIU area is
one of Sprint's busiest areas in northern Illinois, even busier than
most Chicago sites.

With that said, I know a couple people that were on campus with Sprint
and they were able to make calls. A lot of the calls were breaking up,
and sometimes pretty bad, but atleast they were able to make and
receive calls.

I know there were a lot of students and staff complaining about not
being able to use their cell phones

But do you know the carriers they were using?

No I don't. I know the biggest ones around here are Sprint and Verizon.
We don't even have an AT&T store around here, although the service
works fine. Nextel is popular too. I was just saying that the people
I know with Sprint could make and receive calls fine, they were just
breaking up.
