One of the phones on my plan works just fine for outgoing calls, and for
outgoing and incoming text. But incoming calls go straight to some T-Mibile
voice mail system. Just started happening Dec 16th, I've called Sprint
(*2) every day since and they say that they are "still processing " this
problem.

Anyone got an idea what I can do at this point? It's getting very old.

Have you checked the call forwarding settings on your phone? Maybe have
Sprint look at your call forwarding settings in the system?

I find it rather odd that you'd be going to a T-Mobile voice mail system
from a Sprint phone.

Call up Executive Services in Fort Worth and threaten to sue them for
losing "Valuable" voice mail. Sounds like they screwed up a number
port.

Google Executive Services for the 817 direct dial number.

That's the answer- clog up the courts with frivolous lawsuits. Moron.

How about taking my advice from yesterday? By the way, I think threatening
a lawsuit is a stupid idea too.

It's not forwarding. Sprint says they know exactly what the problem is but
they cannot, or most likely WILL not, fix it.
I believe I have cause to cancel without an ETF.

On what would have been my final call, the problem has been resolved.

You cannot cancel without paying the ETF. That is the contract that you
agreed to with Sprint.

If they don't provide the level of service agreed to inthat contract, it is
reason for cancellation without penalty.

The ability to recieve incoming calls would be a part of that contracted
service. If you can't recieve calls, Sprint has broken the terms of the
contract.

Quit being such a fanboi.

I believe that the correct term is "shill" Smile You should check the fine
print of the contract to ensure that the contract says that they guarantee
that you will be able to make and receive calls. If not, then you just have
to pay the ETF and move-on.

Absolutely wrong. For example, they will let you go without ETF if you move
to an area without Sprint coverage; my brother-in-law did this when he moved
up north of Edwards AFB, where Sprint doesn't have a network (California
City, Kern County). Also, if they can't fix the problem, and can't provide
service that the OP was paying for, the OP is likely to have a pretty good
court case in the event that Sprint refuses to let him cancel penalty-free.

If you can't EVER make or receive calls, you've got a case. If you only fail
to make or receive calls in certain places, you're screwed as no carrier
guarantees coverage everywhere.

Based on your response below, I'm thinking the correct term is "idiot."

I'm well aware of the terms of the contract. Surely more knowledgeable
than a call center employee, Jerk-Jerk.

Not being able to receive calls due to a problem identified to Sprint that
is clearly not the fault of the user is grounds for cancellation of the
contract.

It's OK. The way it all unfolded, as of now I think the problem is
resolved. But I also think that if they fail to perform as specified in
the contract, they cannot compel me to perform either.
