My wife is enrolled in a WellDoc trial of a new system that uses a special
application on a new Sprint phone to gather data from diabetics as they eat,
take medicine and measure blood sugar.

The agreement says there will be no charges to the patient for use of the
phone. Sprint is urging existing cellphone users to port their numbers. We
have a two-phone Sprint contract with a year to go. Sprint coverage in our
area is spotty.

Can anyone comment on their experience with Sprint in this situation? I am
especially concerned about anything that would extend the existing contract,
which we do not want to do.
