I have a Nokia 3650 and want to connect it to my desktop (running Windows XP
Home). Nokia told me to use the Belkin F8T003 BT adapter.
I've downloaded the latest Nokia PC Suite software and the latest Belkin
drivers. I have talked with Belkin tech support 3 or 4 times. Their best
advice was to download the Nokia 3650 BT setup guide from their website and
follow the step by step instructions.
I've followed the instructions to the letter. I am able to pair the phone
and the Belkin BT adapter, but that is all.
When I first installed the software and followed the setup guide from
Belkin, I was able to get a serial connection. I was able to sync my phone
and Outlook contacts. When I tried to switch user ids on my desktop (the
phone is actually for my son), I could not get a connection.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled both the Nokia and Bluetooth software
several times. Now, I am able to pair the devices, but I can not get a
serial connection. In fact, when I try to connect, the software just sits
there.
Belkin has been of no help. They tried to tell me that I needed to have
multiple installations of their software, one for each user id. They could
not explain or solve why the software just sits there.
Does anyone have any ideas?
