|

I have a Belkin F8T001 USB BT adapter that I wanted to use with a BT
headset. I wrote to Belkin regarding upgrading the drivers for the dongle
and here is what they said:
"Thank you for contacting Belkin Technical Support. Unfortunately, model
F8T001 will not support the Bluetooth headset because the hardware does not
support headset. You will need to use model F8T003 instead.
Thanks again for choosing the Belkin Corporation. If you have further
questions or comments, please feel free to contact us at (800) 223-5546 ext.
2263 "
This was in response to a question about updated Widcomm drivers. So now I
guess I have to find another BT adapter that is better supported than the
Belkin.
Sigh...

But the headset profile needs the SCO channels, which may not be
available (or enabled) on all hardware.

Well I guess the only way we can find out is to get the 1.3 or 1.4 drivers
for Belkin and try it out. I have a funny feeling that we may never see
those...

Where'd you get the 1.3.2.7 drivers? They weren't available on the web site
last I checked.

I am using Belkin F8T001 with V1.3.2.7 Drivers from Belkin. has Headset
profile but I haven't tested it.

I also have Widcomm 1.3.2.7 as well. Have no idea where I got them from. If
I run the setup and push in the F8T001 when required it detects a Broadcom
Bluetooth Device and installs drivers for that. Works OK connecting to 6310i
for PC Suite.
