I have a VX8300. My wife and son have VX5300s.
My wife and I have Jabra JT135 bluetooth headsets.
The thing that goes over the ear broke on my wife's. It still worked, but
wouldn't stay on her ear. She put some duct tape over it. Now it stays on
her ear, but is not seen by the phone. I deleted it from her phone and
tried to find it, but no luck.
I tried to find it on my phone, but couldn't.
I never use my Jabra, so I deleted it from mine and tried to find it on
hers. No luck.
I found it on mine easily enough. I deleted it on mine and tried to find it
on hers. No luck.
I tried to find it on my son's. No luck there either.
Now, complicating things is that my son's does exactly what the instruction
book says (except it doesn't find the Jabra, and says there are no bluetooth
devices) My wifes never gives the little message about having the bluetooth
device in the findable mode, it just hangs on a nearly blank screen.
I have tried these repeatedly. My VX8300 find my Jabra, but not my wife's.
My son's does not find either, but acts like the instructions say it will if
it can't find a device. My wifes just hangs.
I bought a new Scala yesterday. It connected right up with my wife's phone
and works like it should. ($10 at Compusa...)
So I have three questions:
1) Did the earloop and the Jabra headset just happen to break at the same
time, or is there a connection between the two?
2) Why won't my Jabra headset work on my wife's or son's phone, but works
just fine on mine.
3) Why does my wife's phone work fine when finding the Scala, but (unlike my
son's, which simply doesn't find the Jabra) doesn't work properly when
looking for the Jabra.
I am really confused.
